A detailed look at the Marvel HeroClix Thanos & Thanos-Copter 2-pack: what you get, how it plays, and who should buy it.
Quick answer
The Marvel HeroClix: Thanos & Thanos-Copter 2-pack is a fun, display-worthy set for collectors who love the character's quirky side, but competitive players should weigh its gameplay value.
What makes this 2-pack different
Most HeroClix figures focus on serious battle poses, but this set leans into the absurd. Thanos comes holding a Cosmic Cube with a playful expression, and the Thanos-Copter is a full-sized, playable vehicle—not just a prop. Both pieces are designed to work in standard HeroClix games while also looking great on a shelf.
A trade-off for competitive players
If you build teams for tournaments or meta play, this set may not be your first choice. The Thanos figure and the Copter have unique sculpts and rules, but they are not necessarily top-tier competitive pieces. The value here is more about collecting and casual fun than winning events.
How to decide if this set is for you
- You love character variety: This Thanos is a rare lighthearted take on the Mad Titan. If your collection already has serious Thanos figures, this one adds personality.
- You want a playable vehicle: The Thanos-Copter isn't just a scenery piece—it has full HeroClix stats and can be used in games. That makes it more versatile than a typical display item. Check the vehicle's point cost against your usual team builds before committing.
- You are on a tight budget: At a catalog price of USD 37.50 (compared to USD 50.00), this 2-pack offers a discount over buying two separate figures. But if you only need one piece, a single booster may be cheaper. Consider whether you will use both pieces regularly.
What's in the box
- Marvel HeroClix: Thanos & Thanos-Copter: This 2-pack includes a beloved version of Thanos holding a Cosmic Cube and a to-scale Thanos-Copter with full HeroClix gameplay. You get two distinct playable pieces in one package, and both are detailed enough to display outside of a game.
