Compare the Marvel Dice Masters Doctor Strange Team Pack and Secret Wars Countertop Display on price, contents, and play style so you can pick the right purchase for your table.
Quick answer
Buy the Doctor Strange Team Pack if you want a low-cost, focused set of mystical characters to slot into an existing Dice Masters collection. Choose the Secret Wars Countertop Display if you want a larger draft-ready supply of cards and dice for multiple players or for building a broader collection.
What each product actually gives you
The Doctor Strange Team Pack is a compact character pack built around Doctor Strange and his supernatural cast, including Clea and Wong. It is designed to add those specific cards and dice to your collection, not to serve as a standalone game for a large group.
The Secret Wars Countertop Display is a retail display containing 8 Draft Packs. Each Draft Pack holds cards and dice that can be added to your collection as normal, and the packs are also built for draft play. That makes the display a supply purchase rather than a single-team purchase.
The trade-off: focus versus volume
The Team Pack gives you a narrow, thematic addition at a low price. You know which characters you are getting, and the pack is easy to justify if you already have a Dice Masters collection and simply want Doctor Strange material. The limitation is that it does not provide the volume or draft structure of a display.
The Countertop Display gives you more cards and dice and supports draft play, but it costs more and commits you to a larger purchase. If your goal is one specific team or a small upgrade, the display is more than you need. If your goal is to host a draft or expand a collection broadly, the Team Pack alone will not get you there.
Price context and catalog comparison prices
The Doctor Strange Team Pack is listed at USD 7.49, with a catalog comparison price of USD 9.99. The Secret Wars Countertop Display is listed at USD 55.14, with a catalog comparison price of USD 79.92. These are catalog prices, not a promise of future pricing, and they make the scale difference clear: the display is roughly a collection-level purchase, while the Team Pack is an add-on purchase.
Decision trade-offs
- If you want a specific mystical team: Choose the Doctor Strange Team Pack. It gives you Doctor Strange, Clea, Wong, and other supernatural characters in one focused purchase at the lower price. Check whether you already own these characters before buying a second copy.
- If you want draft play or a larger card and dice pool: Choose the Secret Wars Countertop Display. Its 8 Draft Packs are built for drafting and add cards and dice to your collection as normal. Confirm you have enough players or storage for 8 packs before committing.
- If you are buying for a group: The Team Pack is a single team addition, while the display is sized for draft events and shared use. Match the purchase to the number of players at your table. A display is not necessary for solo or two-player casual play unless you want the larger pool.
