What's inside the Marvel Studios Disney Plus Play at Home Kit and how to use it? Quick answers on setup, figures, maps, and whether it's worth buying.
Quick answer
The Marvel HeroClix: Marvel Studios Disney Plus Play at Home Kit is a compact, budget-friendly way to add exclusive figures and a new map to your HeroClix games. It's designed for home play, not as a full starter set, so you'll need basic HeroClix rules and dice to use it.
What the Play at Home Kit is (and isn't)
Play at Home Kits were introduced as a way for players to get exclusive figures and maps without attending organized events. They are not standalone starter sets; they assume you already know how to play HeroClix or have a friend who does. The Disney Plus kit continues that tradition, offering a themed selection of figures and a map that tie into the Marvel Studios shows.
Because it's not a starter set, you won't find a rulebook or dice inside. If you're brand new to HeroClix, plan to download the free rules or pick up a starter set first. The kit is best for players who already have the basics and want new pieces to add to their collection.
Who should buy it—and who should skip it
This kit suits existing HeroClix players who want exclusive Marvel Studios-themed figures and a fresh map for home games. It's also a good low-cost gift for a fan of the Disney Plus shows who already plays HeroClix.
Skip it if you're completely new to the game and need a full learn-to-play experience, or if you only collect painted miniatures for display—HeroClix figures come unpainted. Also, if you already own the figures from this kit, the value drops.
